Nigel Farrar

Nigel is an Indepedent Financial Adviser working for Legal & Medical Investments Ltd. He gives specialist financial advice and wealth management services to doctors and dentists primarily in the South of England.

Nigel has a specialist understanding of the NHS pension scheme including the annual and lifetime allowances, and projections of pension at retirement.

Experience

Nigel has worked within the Financial Services Industry for the past 30 years. For 12 years he worked at Wesleyan Medical Sickness as an Area Manager and Senior Financial Consultant giving specialist advice for those in the medical profession. Previously, he worked at Lloyds TSB for 18 years, and was a Senior Branch Manager at Petersfield branch.

Qualifications

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have raised the qualification standard requirements for Financial Advisers from January 2013. From this date, all Advisers will have to hit this minimum requirement to continue practicing. Nigel has achieved the requirements laid down by the FCA and holds the Chartered Insurance Institute's Diploma in Financial Planning, continuing his development to qualify at the highest level as a Chartered Financial Planner.

Interest and Activities

Nigel has lived near to Portsmouth for all of his life, married with 2 teenage girls (twins).

His interests include playing volleyball (formally National League), 5 a side football, holidays in France, being a keen cook, and spending quality time with his family.
