I am a Software Engineer with a passion for Financial Technology. Although I have several years of experience working at large companies in or related to the Finance industry, it was my experience as a volunteer in Financial Literacy that prompted me to pursue this passion.

As part of a rehabilitation effort by a non-profit called Northern Virginia Family Services, I helped create a month-long course on financial literacy for low-income individuals. I taught multiple iterations of the course, which covered topics ranging from credit scores to identity theft. Several months later, I ran into one of my first students who had been living at a nearby shelter at the time. “Thanks to my new budgeting skills, I’m moving into my own place,” he said with a huge smile on his face. At that moment, I realized that if we can somehow provide low-income citizens with such information and tools, we could potentially help them improve their quality of life and possibly even raise them out of poverty. I now wish to dedicate my life to providing financial services to the world’s poorest.

In my spare time, I'm an avid hiker, adept table tennis player, and amateur mixologist. I also enjoy snowboarding, snow cones and snowball fights (really, anything involving snow)!
