My name is Nijulia Flowers I was born and raised in Rockingham, North Carolina which is next to the border of South Carolina. I am a sophomore at North Carolina Central University. I have two brothers that are older than me and one of them is two years younger than me, even though; I am the middle child I feel like I am the oldest because I am more reasonable and I have always been held to a higher standard. I am majoring in Nursing, I plan to become a traveling pediatric nurse in about 4 or 5 years. I never planned on becoming a nurse when I was in school because I thought I couldn’t do it, but when senior year came around I had to think about what I wanted to go to school for. All I knew was that I like kids, I want to help people, I don’t want a boring job, and I want to love what I am doing; since I was already taking some medical classes I thought that pediatric nursing would be best for me.
My short-term goals right now is getting all A’s or mostly A’s this semester, connect more with other people, and getting into to the habit of changing things up when I become too comfortable with any situation. My long-term goal is having a happy life, I want to explore, enjoying what I do for a living and not feeling like I am a slave to society. If I don’t get to accomplish all of those things I would at least like to accomplish being happy in life; I have seen so many people always mad about their circumstances and how they feel like they cannot change things. I don’t think that’s living I think that’s suffering and I refuse to feel or live that way.
