I am a backend and distributed systems engineer with over a decade of experience across Nextdoor, Microsoft, Amazon, and PayPal. Most of that time has been spent owning systems end-to-end, most recently on feed ranking and feed serving at Nextdoor. Outside of work, my interests run to photography, fitness, and hiking.
I believe the tech community has given me a lot and helped me get to where I am. Mentoring early career engineers and students is one of the ways I give back. I volunteered as a mentor during the fourth edition of Learn IT, Girl, an initiative to encourage women's participation in technology. I reviewed student applications for the Grace Hopper Celebration in 2020. Across Nextdoor, Microsoft, Amazon, and PayPal, I have onboarded and mentored new hires and interns, from ramping them up on unfamiliar systems to walking them through their first on-call rotations.
