Nikhil Sarup

Hailing from a military background, I realized while growing up that it is every individual’s responsibility to contribute to society. I feel that it is the moral responsibility for people who are fortunate enough to lend a helping hand to underprivileged sections of society. I belong to Delhi and did my schooling in different parts of the country. I graduated from R.V.C.E Bangalore in 2006 as a B.E. in Computer Science. I then joined Cognizant Technology Solutions in Bangalore and worked there for almost three and a half years. Last year I joined Symbiosis Center for Information Technology in Pune and I am currently pursuing my MBA in IT Business Management. I have been involved in community service from my schooling days though it was mostly collecting funds for NGOs like Help Age India or Parikrama foundation. I began doing the actual "service" for the community when I joined Cognizant's CSR Club, "Outreach ' Man2wards Kindness". I was associated with this club for almost three years and my experience was phenomenal. I got an opportunity to work on various social activities through this forum. I believe that everyone has the capability to make a difference in someone's life. It is just the initiative and the determination amongst people that is required. Symbiosis Center for Information Technology's Student Social Responsibility Group is one such initiative. It is a privilege to be a part of this group and help the society in any possible way.
