I am a teacher currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My interests range from food to painting. I am also interested in yoga, fitness, and music.

I have been teaching for 10 years and last year I made the transition from a Math Teacher to Math/Guidance/Student Success Teacher. Next year I’ve packed up my math things, recycled a lot of worksheets and moved to Guidance/Student Success. It was a hard decision. I took additional math courses in University to help increase my GPA (yes that’s how much I love math). I will miss teaching math but through Guidance I’ve found my passion. Every day is different and you get to know the students on a different level. I am looking forward to my new role and yes I’m looking forward to teaching Careers.

This picture is taken during our recent graduation ceremony (not my graduation but my students). I’ve been to a lot of graduation ceremonies but this was different. I cried more than I’ve done in the past. This is because as a Counsellor I’ve come to understand my students on a different level. They are the most resilient, hardworking and beautiful individuals. Seeing them on stage made me so proud. I love being a teacher, I love my family (4 children and a husband) and I love growing as an educator and person.
