I am a stay-at-home mom who resides in Spokane, Washington, with my husband and six adopted kids (five still at home, ages nine through eighteen, all boys). I discovered my love for writing in the seventh grade and studied Creative Writing at the University of Idaho. While living in Houston, Texas I wrote for Blindigo Online Magazine, and over the years, have published several blogs such as “The Stars Are Bright—How a Northern Girl Became a Southern Woman and Everything Inbetween” and “Rock a Child’s World,” which raised awareness for adoption in Texas. Currently, I am pounding the pavement promoting my memoir, "Growing up Alaska". Reading, shopping, playing, parenting and drinking coffee are some of my favorite things to do.
