Her passion for writing sparked early at the age of seven. She used to have a notebook where she put a comic sticker on each page and wrote something about it. At the age of 12. she got used to travelling in order to represent their school in writing conferences and contests. She graduated with honors and garnered the title Best in English.
In highschool, she was active as leader in organizations and writer in their high school publication. Aside from writing, she engaged herself in reading, public speaking, and learning the arts. She graduated second in class and again got Best in English.
She got admitted in one of the country's leading universities with one semester academic scholarship grant and took up Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts in Commerce where she majored in Marketing and Communication. Of course, paying the high tuition fee for the next semesters became a problem for she didn't come from a well-off family. In order to free herself from school fees and get an extra income, she studied hard to maintain the scholarship grant and applied for a writing position in the university's publication. Out of 60 applicants, 4 of them were accepted. She worked for only a year in the college publication because she wanted to concentrate on her studies. College was also the time where she engaged more into digital arts and photography. She had a short stint as an athlete playing Ultimate Frisbee.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude and second in their class.
