Nikkie Pryce
Nikkie Pryce is a multimedia journalist with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University. Her expertise skills include: reporting, hosting and interviewing.
Nikkie started her professional career working at WTXL-ABC27, the local ABC affiliate in the Tallahassee-Thomasville market. She started as a video editor. Her assignment was to edit the entire sunrise and noon newscasts. After six months, she was promoted to Digital content Producer/ Reporter.
Nikkie Pryce has covered national stories from the Trayvon Martin case to the stand your ground law. She also reported daily on Bounce TV (the sister station to WTXL-ABC27) on numerous trending social media topics. She incorporated different social reactions from Twitter and Facebook in her reports. She gave the show a human interest feel by using actual Tweets and Facebook posts from people all across the world.
In 2012, she received an award for the Courtney Simms visionary award. This award honors college graduates that exceed exceptional character and community service of others.
She has interned with WCTV-TV, channel 6. A local CBS affiliate located in Tallahassee, Fl. and also with the Media sales institute as a sales consultant.
In 2012, she started a television show called NikkieP-TV where she interviewed a wide variety of singers, actors and visionaries. She has interviewed prominent individuals in the entertainment industry such as Bishop T.D Jakes, filmmaker Devon Franklin, Actors Pooch "Derwin Davis" Hall, Meagan Good, International gospel recording artists Tye Tribbett, Mali music and many more.
In 2013, Nikkie partnered with a local non-profit Dance studio that serves underprivileged youth from the ages of 3-17 years of age. The two business owners collaborated to create an event called The Mix Business expo. The event was to create a platform for small businesses that wanted to increase their clientele and gain exposure.The event brought on support from commissioners around the Tallahassee-Thomasville market and gained attention from every media outlet in the area. The event made the front page of the Capitol Outlook, Tallahassee’s leading newspaper.
Nikkie plans to continue her career in reporting, hosting, interviewing, public speaking and community service.
