Nikki Laoye is an Urban/Contemporary Christian Artiste from Lagos, Nigeria.
Fondly called "the small one with the big voice", the dynamic recording/performing artiste is well renowned for her eclectic musical expressions with the fusion of R & B, Rock, Soul, Gospel, Pop, HipHop and also as a prolific trained dancer.
Stepping into the Nigerian music scene in 2005, Nikki gained amazing grounds in such a short time with the great success of her award-winning debut hit singles - "Never Felt This Way Before" and "Taka Sufe", both from her debut album ANGEL 4 LIFE.
Currently working on her sophomore album, Nikki’s 2013 hits - the dance single "1-2-3" and the sensational ballad 'ONLY YOU' are presently taking the industry by storm with impressive airplay and remarkable reactions by DJs, Radio Stations and fans in Nigeria, UK, USA, Kenya, South Africa and across the globe.
Both songs "1-2-3" and 'ONLY YOU' were nominated in 'Song of The Year' categories for the 2013 Crystal Gospel Awards & 2013 Africa Gospel Music Awards in UK respectively.
Recently tagged as the 1st Female Artiste in Nigeria to double trend on Twitter within 24 hours of a song release, the sensational singer also stands in a league of her own as one of the 1st three artistes (alongside Lara George & Rooftop Mcs) ever to be interviewed and recognized from Nigeria on America's top entertainment channel, BET (Black Entertainment Television) in 2009.
Nikki Laoye was also one of the preliminary judges on BET's SUNDAY BEST Auditions held in Lagos Nigeria in 2009 and in 2011, a special feature of Nikki's life, music and career was documented for the series "BET SPOTLIGHT" in 2011.
A woman of many sides, Nikki Laoye is the founder of "ANGEL 4 LIFE FOUNDATION" - an organisation committed to supporting the development of visually impaired and physically challenged children & youths.
