Nicole Magat

Growing up in a creative home, art has always been natural. Both of my parents majored in fine arts, so I was constantly surrounded by talent and encouragement. I enjoyed dressing up and turning school projects into art pieces-- it added fun to every day. Visual presentation grew to be a huge part of my outlook and interests. I found that what I loved to do was to modify, arrange, and create. I haven’t changed-- only progressed-- and today, I am dressing up and turning my life into an art project.

As both my knowledge and grasp on fashion grow, I’ve learned that fashion is more than what the eyes see or what the body wears. Fashion is how you carry yourself. It’s your chosen skin. It doesn’t have to matter where you came from, it’s the ability to go forth with a blank canvas and create. Welcome to my canvas.
