Born and raised in Sweden I came to the US in 1995 to attend graduate school. My intent was to stay for a year, but I liked it and a year quickly turned into many. I completed a second Master's degree and a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara. Then I left the safe haven of academia to pursue research and development in industry. To make a long story short, I now live and work in Silicon Valley. I'm the Chief Scientist and Vice President of R&D at Aol Platforms and lead a team of brilliant scientists and engineers to develop spectacular mathematical algorithms for optimal delivery of advertising campaigns, distribution of content, and forecasting.
