Niklas Pettersson

Hello, I’m Niklas. I’m a product and business developer living in Berlin, Germany. I am originally from Västerås, Sweden. This site is meant to give you a more personal side of me, and hopefully an added perspective to my CV’s and professional profiles.

To start things off, I am very passionate about web-based technology and design (product design, web design, etc.). I also love travel, not only to travel myself but also the industry and its complexness and competitiveness. In addition to travel and web design, I play tennis regularly and love running and football. I spend a big part of my free time building websites and testing new technology. I have for example invested in IoT for my home in Berlin, where we control our home temperature (and can build separate "heat zones" in each room) through an app on the phone.

Moreover, I am also a very proud father and husband. My son Colin is 6 years old and on an everyday basis, he must struggle with four languages, (Swedish, Korean, English, and German) and I am super proud of his ability to adapt and learn from these many different languages and cultural settings. Moreover, my wife Jiyoung Kim is an entrepreneur in the fashion industry and she and I love going to the opera and classical concerts in addition to exploring the exciting food scene in Berlin and learning from new local cuisine whenever traveling to a new destination.

In addition to the above, I really enjoy craft beer (hops for the win!) and a nice glass of Merlot. I am currently also helping my parents to setup n hops farm in the South of Sweden. The goal is to have 3.000 plants within 2 years.

At the moment I am spending a big part of my time in Berlin (home), Malmö (Sweden), and Singapore and I look forward to connecting with you further in any of these places or of course digitally through any of the social media platforms.
