NIKO IS

Nikolai Paiva was born in Rio de Janeiro and moved to Orlando at the age of 7 with his mother in pursuit of the American dream so many in Brazil only saw in magazines and TV. Niko began his love affair with music at a very early age. Influenced by a wide range of artists from Biggie to Radiohead, Pink Floyd to Outkast, he has managed to create a distinctive sound and style that gained him recognition as a notable songwriter, witty lyricist, and visionary. Last year, he formed an eclectic, experimental collective called Great People that opened for Big Sean. More recently he opened for Action Bronson and landed a feature with the Queens rapper. He was recently on air as the first Hip-Hop artist on 91.5 WPRK's Local Heroes segment. Despite earning local buzz, Niko's journey is far from over. He recently dropped an album titled 'Champagne Sunday' that combines his eccentric personality with hard-hitting beats. Niko's ultimate goal as a musician is to change the way people think about life and art. He wants to revolutionize Hip-Hop by bringing it back to its roots and creating music that is both relatable and imaginative.
