Nikolaos Spiridellis

Nikolaos Spiridellis has over four decades of experience building and managing technology-focused consultancies and start-up enterprises. Beginning his career as a U.S. Army computer specialist in Ft. Gordon, Georgia, and Vietnam from 1967 to 1969, he served as Vice President of Technical Services at CGA Computer Associates Inc. after his military service. In 1974, Nikolaos Spiridellis founded his own consultancy firm, Spiridellis & Associates, Inc., which focused on IT-related business assignments and system programming. In a span of 9 years, he built the company into an $18 million enterprise, notably building the world’s first Disaster Recovery Backup Computer Center. This center was supported by a large IBM mainframe facility, the first of its type, and was also used in support of the Company’s Advanced Technology Group and for advanced IT training and the development of in-house software systems. Nikolaos Spiridellis also maintained a network of minicomputers, including DEC systems, an HP 3000, and IBM models. When he sold his firm in 1982, Spiridellis & Associates, Inc. maintained offices in six U.S. locations as well as in London. Nikolaos Spiridellis’ work with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems dates back to 1988 when he developed the Natural Voice Based Medical Records System that complemented a back-end medical information analyzer. From 1988 to 1991 he marketed the ListeningPost IVR product for use in human resources departments. The product increased productivity in recruiting activities through an interactive voice response and capture system. As VOISYS Systems Corporation CEO, Mr. Spiridellis continues to market IVR systems capable of processing applications over the telephone. VOISYS provides hosted IVR services and is utilized by firms in support of their advertising. In the automobile sector, VOISYS has serviced several thousand clients and provides sales lead generation services as well various other applications that require 24X7 telephone access. From 1986 to 1999, Nikolaos Spiridellis headed the Spiridellis Consulting Group, Inc., achieving annual revenues of $6 million within 2 years. Merging his firm with Raycomm Transworld Industries, Mr. Spiridellis maintained management control of his consultancy as well as several subsidiary entities within the firm.
