About Us
Mr. Pat Viverito Senior was walking past a carpeting store one day and the owner asked if he “wanted to make a nickel”. Pat replied “yes”, and the owner offered him a job at only 8 years old. The owner’s son had stopped working for the carpeting store after he went to World War II so Pat successfully learned about the business from the ground up. Pat’s work ethic was incredibly strong. He purchased his own first car which was a classy convertible.
Pat learned every aspect of carpeting and flooring. He later became a successful entrepreneur. Pat owned multiple flooring stores in Bronx, New York where he groomed his sons Pat Jr. & Anthony to run the business. The original store sold carpet and custom area rugs. As the family became experts in carpeting, flooring and Hunter Douglas Blinds & Shades the name changed to Niles Floors and Blinds.
