Hello there. I am currently serving in the United States Navy working with Aircrew Survival Flight gear. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Georgraphy with Meteorology Concentration from Western Kentucky University. I joined the military for better career opportunities and the adventure. I decided last year it was time to get back to my passion of weather. Therefore, I am pursuing a Masters in Meteorology. Who knows-maybe even a Doctorate someday. I have worked with different weather stations, volunteered time with NOAA, and storm chased hurricanes/tornadoes throughout the USA. I would love to work full-time with NOAA one day and work with the meteorological research side of weather. I have done the "weather forecaster" in front of the screen, however it is not for me. I love the thrill of researching, chasing and forecasting the storm systems.
I know there is prolly a question of why am I not working with weather for the Navy. Well, I am working towards that. The job opportunity is not available at this time and I am working towards becoming an Officer possibly. I love working with Aircrew Survival gear in the mean time and the respect/appreciation of taking care of my aircrew members. Been in the military 7+ years now and love every minute of it.
I am happily married and have one child-(a fluffy cat) named Hootie.
