Nimbus

West of a large city, on the edge of a big lake...

You can call me Nimbus - I pretend to be an artist. My writing skills aren't too bad either, at least I think they aren't - people seem willing to pay me for it and no one has thrown my work back at me, screaming that it was complete and utter trash. I take that as a good sign.

I live in an apartment, I used to own a house...but bad things happen, and people have to sell their homes. Some bad thing happened and I had to sell mine.

So now I live in a little village nestled beside a huge lake...one of the Great Lakes, to be precise; although, if I had my druthers, I druther it was the Pacific ocean...but that's just me.

I share my apartment with two cats and a human male. Said human male does not like to admit that he lives with me...in his world, so long as mom continues to wash his undies and make him lunch, it remains, in fact, that he is still living at home...

Said human male is over 40...

The cats, on the other hand, don't seem to care...

I have a kid...and since I am not yet prepared to accept that I could possibly have a child that age, I pretend she is around 14...give or take. Said child lives on her own and has for pxzblx years...

She loves me but thinks I'm looney....

I love her too...

I have been married twice: once legally - to Satan - and once commonly - to an angel. My angel died in 2000; Satan reigns on. My daughter is the spawn of Satan, but fortunately for all of us, she takes after her mother...

I enjoy well written sf and, admittedly rarely, the occasional exceptional horror or fantasy novel. I also enjoy books on art, photography, music, physics, psychology, eastern philosophy and "creative thinking".

I appear to have the mind of precocious twelve year old and I get bored easily - but on the positive side, I'm curious about almost everything... especially new ideas and new places.

Travel is important to me: I love exploring! My camera also makes me pretty happy, as does good food, beautiful art and music, nature and being a mother...best job in the world, being a mom...

I'd say, overall, my tastes are eclectic, my outlook on life...somewhat skewed, I suppose. It's certainly been an interesting trip so far....
