Nina Alvarez

Rochester, NY

I am a writer, editor, and coach helping writers navigate the publishing process. I live in Rochester, NY, but I often work with clients long distance as well. I have an MA in English from the University at Albany and I am a published poet, short fiction writer, and my first play "The Life of Leo Wool" is being produced in May 2013 by the Greater Rochester Repertory Company.

I focus on manuscript development, book proposals, coaching, and self-publishing for books of all genres. Most of my clients are first-time authors looking for friendly, intuitive, and honest guidance from someone in the field, along with the professional writing and editing services I have been honing for over ten years.

I enjoy working with writers who have with a strong desire to find their authentic voice. When I meet with a client, I look for the person behind the person, the book behind the book, and see the whole process as one of self-realization.

I consider myself a spiritual and highly intuitive person, and in accordance with that I am fashioning a new kind of business that melds book services with energy work and coaching. It is still in its beginning stages, but if you are interested in knowing more, please feel free to contact me:
