Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Nina joined the Army National Guard after high school. While fulfilling her military obligations in reserve status, she attended the University of North Texas where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in December 2010 with a B.A. in Sociology. She then pursued a M.Ed. in College Student Affairs at Rutgers University, where she graduated in May of 2013.

Her passion sits in the world of higher education and leadership. She is an adventurist, networker, and foodie.
