Nina Riggins is the Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She has been fascinated by the human brain and nervous system for as long as she can remember, as her father was a neurologist and would often recount stories related to his work.

As she grew older, Nina developed an exemplary work ethic that was fueled by her passion and thirst for knowledge. She never failed to impress an instructor, and her hard work certainly paid off. Nina Riggins holds an M.D. from Volgograd State Medical University, as well as a Ph.D. from Ministry of Health. During her residency and fellowships, she consistently ranked within the top 2-5 percent of candidates. Her love for medicine shone so brightly that, during her Neurology Board exam in 2011, she even evoked a smile from her proctor.

Nina is a member of the American Headache Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and is a Certified Board Member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

It is imperative to note that her many accolades were not sought after with the intention of drawing attention to herself and her abilities. Instead, they are considered to be stepping stones toward her larger goal: helping neurology patients improve their quality of life.
