NINO MONACO

I have extensive experience in the inner workings of Mayfield Heights and similar cities, having held positions as the Building Director for Pepper Pike, Building Inspector for Mayfield Heights and Lyndhurst, and Plumbing Inspector for Richmond Heights. In these roles, I have acted in the interests of the cities and their residents, ensuring that all buildings (residential and commercial) were constructed and maintained with a view towards aesthetic design, structural quality, and overall safety.

My qualifications and licenses are numerous, and I have been the sole inspector for several high profile projects in Mayfield Heights including Allen Bradley, Parker-Hannifin, the Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital, Walmart, Costco, Target, Duke Buildings, Progressive Insurance Company, and more. I have also had extensive exposure to courts and court proceedings as a result of these roles and would draw on this exposure to benefit the city council.

In addition to my knowledge and experience, my passion for the city of Mayfield Heights and involvement in the community make me an ideal candidate for a continued role of councilman in 2012. I founded the Mayfield Heights Challenge 5k Road Race to raise funds for city programs and initiatives and have volunteered at various Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, and Gates Mills city functions including the Community Unity Days, Cruise Nights, Holiday Lighting Ceremony, Parades, and many more.

An active participant of Pepper Pike city council, department head management, road and safety, planning and zoning, and architectural review meetings, I am very well-versed in the issues and opportunities facing cities like ours as well as the views and perspectives of our residents.
