Nintedanib is a prescription medication used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a condition in which the lungs become damaged and scarred, making it difficult to breathe. Nintedanib is significant since it increases chances of survival of patients with lung cancer and is typically well tolerated.

The mechanism of action of nintedanib is the blocking of the action of the enzymes responsible for lung fibrosis and associated issues. By doing so, you may have less scar tissue and improved breathing.
