Nirmala Ramjhuria | HR Leadership at EDB Mauritius

Nirmala Ramjhuria has developed extensive experience in employee relations and industrial relations throughout her HR career. After joining Mauritius Telecom in 1999, she worked in training before moving into resourcing, industrial relations, and employee welfare responsibilities from 2001.

Her experience includes managing monthly meetings with four trade unions, participating in salary review exercises, and creating grievance procedures. She has also been involved in changes to employment conditions, workforce restructuring, and the development of terms and conditions of service for MT Services Ltd.

Her responsibilities have covered salary reviews at Mauritius Telecom, MT Services Ltd, and the call centre, with different review cycles for each employee group. In addition to industrial relations, she brings expertise in organisational design, performance management, employee engagement, and HR policies.

Nirmala's professional background reflects a practical understanding of collective employee relations, workplace procedures, and the importance of structured dialogue between management and employee representatives within an organisation.
