My parents say that I was a very naughty child. I had a propensity to break household appliances. But to me, it was not simply breaking. I wanted to know what made the machines tick. I could not accept the fact that a tailed non living entity would come to life whenever the switch was turned on. In high school I developed an affinity for electrical circuits. The logical flow of reasoning required to obtain an in-depth understanding in this subject piqued my interest and prompted me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University.
After graduation I started working for Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. where I led a 6 member team and conducted preventive maintenance, safety monitoring, and cost reduction projects. After seven months I joined SAIL and was posted at the Steel Melting Shop. Presently, I lead a 12 member team and am responsible for fast resolution of electrical technology related problems, ensuring minimum down time of the equipment responsible for steel production. I train my team members. Recently, I designed and implemented new database modules which modernized the knowledge management system.
Apart from all this engineering, I am an avid manga reader. I am currently following Uzumaki Naruto's quest to achieve world peace. I love eating good food, specially steaks, sausage, and fried hilsa. I play video games, such as Fifa 13, Call of Duty. I listen to a wide variety of music: Rock, Metal, Psychedelic, etc. I also dabble in photography. I am quite jovial and good at making friends. I raised funds for Helpage India during school. During college I raised funds for the “Annual College Reunion”. During college I also served as a board member of the Electrical Engineering Society and organized various cultural programs. I also played bass in the SAIL MTT 2010 band.
