Nirmalya Dey

Visualiser and Creative Designer in Delhi, India

I began my journey on the stage, spending over a decade immersing myself in theatre acting, direction, design, and movement. I was fortunate to be trained for over ten years by the late theatre legend Ramaprasad Banik, participating in two State-honoured productions under his tutelage—an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of human emotion, dramatic arc, and the socio-economic impact of storytelling.

With 12 years as a theatre worker and a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts & Direction, I learned that a performance relies entirely on rhythm, composition, and mise-en-scène.

Today, I have brought those exact directorial principles to the digital space.

As a Creative Designer, Video Editor, and Motion Graphics Artist, I don’t just manipulate keyframes or cut clips; I direct the viewer's eye. My decade on stage is my secret weapon in video production. It allows me to understand pacing, emotional beats, and visual storytelling in a way that software proficiency alone cannot replicate.

I collaborate with brands, creators, and organizations to turn abstract ideas into high-impact, minimalist visual content that stands out. Whether building a narrative arc for a video project or designing a crunchy, modern brand identity, I am still doing what I have always done: communicating with the world and shaping culture through powerful storytelling.

Let's build a narrative together. Feel free to say hello through any of the links below.
