Nisha Patel

Nisha Patel is a Canadian host, reporter and producer. Her journalism experience includes work with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Citytv, 680 News and OMNI Television.

Nisha loves the news business because it lets her watch history being written. She's covered a diverse range of stories, from the bankruptcy of General Motors to the building of the world's tallest LEGO tower. She now specializes in business and economic news coverage for television, radio and online mediums.

Nisha was raised in Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts, focusing on Communications and International Relations. Nisha continued her education in Toronto, Ontario. She majored in Broadcast Television in the Journalism program at Ryerson University.

Nisha loves Spanish poetry, 30 degrees celsius weather, and good meals (as long as someone else is cooking). On her days off she narrates audio books for the visually-impaired at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
