Birth & Childhood
Sri Nithyananda Swami was born A. Rajasekaran on 1st January 1978 in Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, India. He is the second son of his parents (Late) Sri Arunachalam and Smt. Lokanayaki. He belongs to an affluent and philanthropic family from the Saiva Vellalar community. His maternal grandfather was a pious individual who contributed freely to various temples and spiritual organizations. He was Rajasekaran's first mentor who introduced him to the great spiritual traditions and scriptures of India.
