Nitish Ramkumar

I have heard people say, the first line of your introduction decides what sort of person you are. My first line is - " A tall Indian graduating with a Computer Science degree from NTU, Singapore". But trust me, you are in for a surprise!

Programming and algorithm writing was surely one of my first and biggest interest. The general idea of telling a computer to do something according to what I wanted, made me feel "like a boss". I ended up taking Computer Science in high school and also took Computer Science in university. But after coming to NTU Singapore, I was introduced to things which opened the other side of me. Entrepreneurship, Finance, Student Governance.

As for leadership and governance, I became part of the NTU Students' Union, firstly as Events Executive and then as the Vice-President (present). This made me realise that managing people and taking up responsibilities are surely my positive points.

Entrepreneurship in this generation generally equates to facebook. Facebook was surely my inspiration. I took up a minor in entrepreneurship programme and started a business called Qwer-T.

The speed and magnitude of the finance industry attracted me. I completed an internship at Barclays Capital and one thing is for sure, I have a future here.
