Niti Shukla
Software Engineer, Volunteer, and Actor in Gujarat, India
An IT analyst from 9 to 5, an enthusiastic tennis player post 5 and an active social worker on weekends pretty much sums up my current profile.
Born and brought up in a family with members in government services, I have travelled across places due to my parents’ transferrable jobs and learnt to adapt to and accept diversity.
Three Ts- tennis, theater and travel- is how I would like to sum up my hobbies. While tennis has been a weekly ritual, theater is a more sporadic indulgence: a theater enthusiast since college and a part-time actor now. I have performed both, on stage and street plays generally as a female protagonist. on satirical and comedy plays based on socially relevant issues.
Also, I enjoy exploring forests and wildlife. Camped and trekked from dense forests to the Great saline desert, I have seen the fierce wildlife and indigenous Tribes of India. The widespread incidents of poaching and cruelty towards nature made me join an NGO 4 years back and contribute vigorously towards Tribal welfare and Wildlife protection.
I have worked with TCS for 4+ years as a Certified SAP HCM Consultant. My job gave me opportunities to work in varied public and private sector industrial domains such as retail, manufacturing, logistics, petrochemicals and hospitality and enabled me to interact with people across geographies.
So be it cracking a client query at work or organizing tree plantation campaigns, I draw immense pleasure from both. Thus, in my quest to learn and more importantly, to contribute, I have played a multitude of roles and worn different hats at different times. All these experiences have made me a better person and have inculcated in me traits, which I am certain will be as relevant and as useful in the times to come as they are now.
