EXECUTIVE PROFILE

Felex Niwagaba is a Ugandan entrepreneur, strategist and institutional development professional focused on building systems that improve how businesses, financial institutions and communities organize, make decisions, manage resources and access economic opportunities.

He is the Founder and Lead of Zaza Organization, an emerging human and economic development ecosystem whose mission is to organize people, businesses and institutions around purpose, productivity, financial inclusion and sustainable wealth creation. Through Zaza, he is leading the development of digital infrastructure and intelligence systems for SMEs, lending institutions, SACCOs, healthcare providers and other organizations.

His work combines business strategy, financial systems, operational management, artificial intelligence, audit intelligence, digital transformation and institutional development. Current Zaza initiatives include AuditOS, CommunicationOS, the CEO Executive One-Page Report, BusinessOS, FieldOS, HealthOS and the broader Zaza Intelligence infrastructure.

Felex also serves as Chief Operating Officer at Sanaa Co., where his work has involved business development, financial inclusion, SME digitalization, SACCO and microfinance systems, loan-management processes, collections, reporting, institutional strategy and operational improvement.

He has extensive practical experience working with lending and financial institutions across Uganda, particularly in operational audits, fraud investigations, portfolio reviews and financial recovery. His assignments have involved identifying ghost loans, unremitted client repayments, cash shortages, falsified borrower records and internal control weaknesses; conducting field verification and client confirmation; quantifying institutional losses; negotiating recoveries; and supporting cases through Police, DPP and court processes.

His approach increasingly focuses on converting operational and financial data into decision intelligence—helping institutional owners and executives understand where money is being lost, where controls are failing, what requires immediate intervention and where opportunities for growth exist.

Through Zaza Organization, Felex is also developing models for SME formalization, business financing readiness, financial inclusion and digital economic identity, with the objective of enabling informal and growing enterprises to build reliable operating records, become bankable, access markets and participate more effectively in the formal economy.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Oil, Gas and Energy Management and has undertaken additional professional development in supervisory management, occupational safety, leadership, strategy, artificial intelligence, project management, entrepreneurship, finance and digital transformation.
