NMP Filter Press

Membrane filter plates sometimes go by this name. Each chamber contains one hollow frame and two plates separated by cloth or paper filters. As the slurry passes through, the plates press against the frame, catching the solids. The general resistance of the mechanism increases as the cakes thicken until the machine eventually stops. After that, the process is repeated as each plate is manually removed by a worker.
