Nicole Marie Wilson, a native of southern New Jersey, has lived as a resident of Maryland since attending Morgan State University in 1999. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education in 2003 and is currently a 3rd grade teacher in Montgomery County. While attending Morgan State University, she traveled the world as a member of the elite "Singers" in the MSU choir under the direction of the incomparable Dr. Nathan Carter.
In 2000, Nicole joined Group TherAPy (previously AJB & AP), a gospel-influenced troupe under the direction of Anthony Brown. The group often performed as background singers for a wide range of artists from gospel greats like Donnie McClurkin, Maurette Brown-Clark, and Donald Lawrence, to R&B superstars like Kelly Price, Anthony Hamilton, and Stevie Wonder. Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy released their self-titled debut album, on August 21, 2012. It debuted at #3 on Billboard Gospel charts. The album's lead single, entitled "Testimony," is the longest running gospel radio single on Billboard. The group's sophomore album "Everyday Jesus," was recorded live in Baltimore, Md with almost 4,000 people in attendance. Released in July 2015, "Everyday Jesus" debuted at #1 on multiple billboard charts and remained at #1 for several weeks. The Grammy-Nominated lead single "Worth" is currently #1 on the Billboard Gospel Radio Airplay chart.
