I am a Kenyan,born in Kericho riftvalley,resided in Kitale before moving to Isiolo,North Kenya where I attended school and currently based A long serving,self made and successful journalist with a wealth of experience gained from covering the most remote,disasters prone vast North Kenya region large in size to some countries in central part of Africa. Poses a strong attachment to journalism since childhood,Indeed proud, I managed to realize my career dream and was the one of first locals to write for the leading news paper in Kenya Driven by strong ambition,I was the first local again to secure and the only journalist writing for two main international media organizations,i.e Reuters and UN IRIN. I specialize in humanitarian reporting.Major and exclusive I have covered,exposed from this region include -Deaths and injuries caused to pastoralists by undetonated explosives british troops abandoned in parts of Samburu and Laikipia,the story led to compensation to the affected families -Major conflicts in north,cross boarder raids,displacement,state persecution,torture,drought and a number of disasters I have much experience,conversant stories across the boarder, i.e Somalia conflicts,Ethiopia invasion of Somali[2006]was first to report closure of boarder and was always of the pack with breaking news of Kenya military incursion in Somalia since October and alshabab attacks inside Kenya -I have done a number of exclusive investigative reports,like alshabab recruitment in Kenya,formation of an alliance between Somalis militia groups and Kenya to fight alshabaab and plans by Kenya to create a buffer zone by supporting Jubaland and Kenya's training of Somalia troops.
