Noah Banjo
Freelance Multimedia Journalist, Writer, and Podcaster in Lagos, Nigeria
Hi there,
My name is Noah, a multilingual freelance journalist with an interest in African sports and its relation to human development.
Before going freelance, I worked as a correspondent, staff writer, and online editor and website manager for The Busy Buddies, a top independent sports media outfit based in Lagos, Nigeria.
While with The Busy Buddies, I worked with a team to ensure comprehensive coverage of under-reported stories, grassroots sports, and of course, the more popular sports both locally and across the continent - which includes the African Cup of Nations, the African Women's Cup of Nations, the Championship of African Nations, the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup, the CAF Awards, among others.
As a freelance journalist, I aim to tell the human angle of sports stories from the people involved, while drawing contrasts to how they relate to human development across the African continent.
Also, I host a podcast titled Long Story Short on the Jamit Network, a strictly African podcast network. My show focuses on true stories from the African continent through the lens of some of its iconic characters, with the significant events that have shaped the continent, and how these stories should affect Africans.
Coupled with being a journalist and a podcast host, I have done several ghostwriting from feature articles to short stories, and poems.
To keep my other skills in check, I have a blog where I write on issues that do not necessarily concern me. It is sought of a non-emotional diary of my independent thoughts.
With this, I look forward to working with you to create great things.
