Hey Folks! I am a Redcoat, music therapy major, Jazz pianist, music director, Kirby enthusiast, volleyball fan, and TBS sister/music chair.

Most of these hats I wear all have one thing in common: music. I’ve loved music since I ran around the couch to worship tunes when I was first able to run, to when I first joined the band as a percussionist in middle school, to now, as music is part of my curriculum at UGA. Nowadays music surrounds about everything I do, so it’s vitally important to keep it fun, as passion can be easily overtaken by obligations when it is a part of school. This is why I have so many outlets that keep music something I enjoy, and one of those is being a Redcoat, specifically being in the drumline.

Since my first year at UGA, I have been in the Redcoat Drumline playing cymbals my inaugural year, then transitioning to what I really wanted to play, bass drum. The drumline, or as we are also known as, PDTK, is a second family for me, and through Redcoats, I have made some of my favorite memories, from winning the SEC championship two years in a row now, to inviting the bass drums to where I live in Charleston, SC, and spending a week showing them around the city. Though the rehearsals can be tedious and frustrating at times, they always know how to add some fun into it, even though our instructors are averse to the kind of fun we are having. It goes without saying how much I enjoy the football games as well, especially with Gunner Stockton leading the team, and the highs have never been higher when PDTK was celebrating the 8th overtime win against Ga Tech last year, right when the clock struck midnight, and I became 20 years old.

Speaking of sports, there is a large chance that if you attend a UGA women’s volleyball game, I will be there. Though it is quite difficult to make some of the matches with all of my redcoat rehearsals, I still try to find a way to make every one. Watching them slowly progress to a better and better team, winning more and more matches, has been wonderful, even when my favorite player, Clara Brower, graduated last year. She has been our best setter in my humble opinion, though I might be a little biased as I have her jersey hanging in my room.

There is so much more I could elaborate on based on my introduction, but the one thing I’d like for you to take away from this is how passionate I am both about music and about the dawgs!
