StrengthQuest Reflection: My top strength from this assignment was restorative. This strength basically says that I love to solve problems that I find the greatest source of achievement after I complete a problem that may be challenging and different to me. I identify with this strength the most because I see it as the one that's mostly true! while my other strengths like strategic and arranger refer more to my brother, who is way more organized and deserving of those strengths. This idea of being restorative and solving problems is what I want to do as a living, by helping other people solve their own physical problems. My dream job is to be a physical therapist and having the strength of being restorative helps to shape my academic decisions as well as social decisions to get there.

Lessons from a First-Year Buckeye: In this assignment, the class was asked to talk about a few different lessons that we personally would tell new students coming to the Ohio State University. What I originally wrote for this assignment...

- Make friends and get involved as soon as you can.

- Homework and Study before Netflix and Chill

- Have fun but be safe

- Get to know your counselors and professors

- Stay in touch with your family

This assignment has definitely helped me reflect on my first semester and realize how big each of these points are. These were things that I never thought I’d be experiencing, but are all true.

Curriculum Plan Activities: In this activity, the counselor taught and helped us to plan our courses for the next few semesters. We, the students, were taught how to create a degree audit to see what classes we still need to take for our major to graduate with a degree, as well as utilizing Carmen (the university site) in order to help plan our future courses. What I learned through this assignment was actually, what I thought to be, the most productive thing I’ve done all semester. This activity has given me the power to be organized and plan accordingly rather than just running blindly to my academic advisor hoping that she can help me somehow.
