Born in Japan, educated in Japan and the United States, currently lives 60% in Tokyo / 40% in Los Angeles. Experiences with managing companies and people in different countries and cultures in varying size and maturity. As a key member in the investment committee of SBI Investment (Japan's largest venture capital) for over 10 years, evaluated over 1,500 venture companies. Currently coaches/mentors and in some cases engages in hands-on management of companies needing his expertise. Past achievements include the legendary Japan entry and the $5B IPO of Trend Micro, now a Tokyo Stock Exchange company, Chairman and CEO of IPLocks Inc. until it is sold to Fortinet Inc. (NASDAQ: FTNT), and as the co-founder of CyberLink Japan, a subsidiary of CyberLink Corporation, a TAISDAQ-traded digital video software company.
