Carla Benefield

Born and raised in South Mississippi, until Hurricane Katrina destroyed our family home in 2005. Lived in the remains of the old house until December 2006, we then moved to Houston, Texas. And so I'm a "Texan by choice...Not by birth". I love being a Texan, my heart has always been in the West. I've been in love with the West since I was three or four years old. I thought Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy were real cowboys, until I was much older, maybe ten or eleven, I learned, they were just actors. But my heart and soul is still in the West.
