I am a native New Yorker turned Philadelphian. My transformation began with my undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College in the beautiful Bucks County area. Upon graduaction, I returned to NY and nannied, taught horseback riding lessons, and worked part time at Barnes and Noble before Philadelphia called me back to teach at Keith Valley Middle School in Hatboro-Horsham. After three wonderful years with KVMS, I moved to Delaware Valley High School, an Alternative School for the at-risk youth of Philadelphia. After this wonderful learning experience, my coming-of-age brought me to Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School where I have found my forever-home.

When I'm not teaching, lesson planning, or collecting various specimen for my classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful boyfriend who is an Atlantic City Headliner (go visit his page which is linked to my blog!), refinishing furniture (check out my other blog), and finding new things to do.

I am currently completing my Masters in Educational Psychology through Temple University (May 2014!) while applying to Temple's Education Doctorial Program, focusing in Science Education (fingers crossed!).
