A chronicle of travel and mental health.

22 year old Aussie, devout dog fan, and apprentice wayfarer.

Post traumatic stress has been an instrumental part of my journey for almost a decade, and in it’s wake, depression and anxiety.

“Patience” and “persistence” are two very pretty words for a recovery that is anything but. Ask me and I’d use a whole lot of ugly words to describe surviving with a mental illness, but this world is a big place, and it took me far too many years to figure out that it’s bursting at the seams with reasons to be a part of it.

Wanderlust has become my therapy, and I am endlessly searching for the human experience, wherever it may be found.

The most ambitious chapter yet in my book of days is finally beginning.

Here I am, this is me, ready or not.

An open letter…

If you’re suffering, and you’re struggling to do what you want to do today, or be the person you want to be, or if you’re stuck. It’s okay, everything is going to be alright we can always try again tomorrow. If the only thing you did today was survive, that’s enough and I am so proud of you.

Don’t let anyone tell you you’re surviving the wrong way.

I know it doesn’t feel like it right now, but I’m here to show you that the world is so full and it is so glad you exist, you can recreate yourself, I believe in you. I can’t promise it won’t be difficult, but oh I can promise it will be worth it - you’re gonna love who you turn out to be.
