My career has led me from my hometown in Honolulu to San Francisco in 2007. As an agency recruiter with Robert Half, I learned the art of cold calling clients, interviewing candidates, and the reward of matchmaking a hopeful prospect with a promising career opportunity! It was simply a rush and remarkably satisfying. I was hooked!

I made the move into corporate recruiting through a referral and more learning ensued at how to successfully engage hiring managers, meet quarterly hiring goals, and decipher why our opportunity could be the right one for a candidate.

In 2013, I joined a Series D ad-tech startup, PubMatic and adventured to New York to lead the recruiting efforts for opening our office there. And then returned to the Bay Area in 2015 with an irresistible opportunity with Salesforce. Another door unexpectedly opened to Elastic through an executive connection at Salesforce, and there I began the ride of my professional life. I am humbled and honored that I was able to put all the skills and experience I gained to use during my 5 year tenure with Elastic, including hitting our hiring goals that enabled the company to stay on track for going public in 2018. Very fulfilling!

Since the pandemic started, we were fortunate to bring our family to Hawaii to spend time with my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents — all the while continuing to do what I love remotely.

We returned to the Bay Area at the end of 2020. We love Hawaii, but there is such a special cultural richness in Northern California too, and all our Bay Area sports teams are here!
