Dr. Na'Taki Osborne Jelks

Dr. Na’Taki Osborne Jelks is a community builder, social change engineer, environmental health scientist, and educator working for a clean, green, healthy, just, and sustainable future. Recognized as a 2014 White House Champion of Change, Dr. Na'Taki leads the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA). When she is not busy trying to transform toxic landscapes into healthy communities, she is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health in Decatur, GA. Dr. Jelks is married to Rev. Ken Jelks and is Mother to an active eight-year old son, Kenyatta Jelks, Jr. (K.J.). A published poet, she is working on her first book of non-fiction and a volume of poetry.
