New Orleans Electronica Digest

The New Orleans Electronica Digest (NOLAED) was a monthly online publication covering electronic music & its surrounding culture from 2001 - 2005. Although its primary focus was on New Orleans, NOLAED grew to cover artists & events across North America & Europe. At a time when blogs were still in their infancy, NOLAED existed somewhere between a blog & magazine. Aside from event & album reviews, the site published several interviews with artists such as Sasha, The Crystal Method & LTJ Bukem, in addition to providing political commentary on controversial topics like the RAVE Act of 2002.

The New Orleans Electronica Digest Anthology is an iBook that packages all of the articles, interviews, reviews & photos previously available online at NOLAED prior to Hurricane Katrina. Although offline for many years, the content was uniquely suited to provide cultural context to a vibrant musical community in New Orleans. After months of curation, the book is set to be published in September 2013.
