1.Pattern, 5.56-mm, ball, M193. The cartridge M193 is a center-fire cartridge with a gold-paneled, 55-grain core bubble of plume alloy. The M193 round is the standard field cartridge with the M16A1 rifle, and it has no markings. You can also buy ammo online.

5.Cartridge, 5.56 mm, ball, M855 (Waffen series M16A2/3/4, M4) The 62-grain, gold-plated, core alloy bullet with a steel penetrator is available M855 cartridge. The base and case are water-resistant. This munition should only be utilized against targets below 90 meters in the distance in M16A1 unless in emergencies. (To stabilize the projectile of larger ammo, the M16A1 rifling's visit is not sufficient).
