Nomfanelo Yende

Greetings, my name is Nomfanelo Yende and I am a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in English and History. My passion lies in creating inclusive learning spaces, where young minds can develop critical thinking, communication skills and a love for learning.

As an aspiring educator, I believe that teaching goes beyond simply transmitting knowledge, it is about equipping learners with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. As a History major my goal is to create a problem posing classroom where learners critically engage with the past and question dominant narratives, helping learners shift from being passive receivers of information to active thinkers and participants.
