Early October 2010, late morning, there was a cool breeze outside and a warm cup of coffee in hand... The idea for nonBored.com came to Dan Carmody, nonBored's founder, in a cafe. Dan noticed that people would enter the cafe with beautiful advertisement posters to post on the cafe's corkboard. The people would walk in, look over the corkboard and desperately attempted to find a clear spot for their advertisement. Some people were lucky and found a clear spot... some people attempted to move other ads to make room for their own... some just place their ad on top of others... It is clear that this type of advertising is not ideal. There had to be a better way to publicise local events. That was when the idea for nonBored.com was born! Dan started looking into the problem and found that there were no great, dedicated advertising options for local events. So Dan decided to fix the problem by creating nonBored.com. nonBored.com is a free, hyper-local event advertising site. nonBored.com is purposefully simple. nonBored.com allows all organizations that host public events to register and post their events for FREE!
