Nontsikelelo Mngenela
Student and Musician in Johannesburg
Hi, I’m Nontsikelelo, a third-year Bachelor of Education (Senior and FET Phase) student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Geography, Physical Education and Natural Sciences. I am based in Johannesburg and deeply passionate about music, politics, and education. As a curious and socially conscious thinker, I enjoy exploring how society functions and how education can be used as a tool for transformation, empowerment, and social justice.
Creativity and expression form a big part of who I am. I love engaging in arts, DIY projects, and meaningful conversations that broaden my worldview. Through my studies and teaching practice, I have developed strong interests in innovative learning, youth development, and sustainable education. I enjoy working with learners, designing meaningful learning experiences, and continuously growing in the teaching profession. Whether I’m reflecting on global issues, creating something with my hands, or learning a new skill, I am driven by curiosity, growth, and the desire to make a positive impact in the world and in the classroom.
