Mehdi Noori

Mehdi Noori was born in Iran. He took his B.Sc. in "Civil Engineering" at University of Tehran and immediately accepted in "Construction Management and Engineering" program as a M.Sc. student at Amirkabir Univeristy of Technology(Tehran Polytechnic). He started working in Civil Engineering consultant companies from when he was 19 and by the age of 23 he joined TOSSAR Construction Company, one of the greatest construction companies in IRAN, as Project Planning and Control Lead. After a year and still holding this position, he was offered to become a "Project Manager" for constructing a high tech building with total of $ 5M. He succeeded finishing the project with no delays, using his experiences in planning and scheduling.
In the meanwhile, he was offered a Teaching Assistantship position in the Civil, Environmental and Construction department at the University of Central Florida(UCF). Regarding to his interests in Sustainability, he joined UCF as a PhD student in 2011. At the moment he is a Graduate Research Assistant in Sustainable Systems Group@UCF, aiming to explore different solutions and strategies to build a greener planet.
