Going into my senior year at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in North Adams, I am getting myself set to bounce into the real world and start furthering my connections. Though I opted for a small state school right out of high school, I have utilized what my college offers to the best of my ability. I work directly under the official public relations and marketing professional for MCLA learning the ins and outs of group representation, general advertisement, and advanced marketing plans. Over the last two years, I also have immersed myself in the Student Activities Council which is more than just a club, our mission is to create entertainment and alternative activities for the MCLA students. We organize off campus trips, comedy shows, and book and manage large concerts. I inherited the public relations position and was most recently voted to be president for the upcoming 2011-2012 year. This club has also helped me realize my love and great ability to function and manage the entertainment business; I recently completed an internship with a small venue in North Adams where I was the programming assistant for six months. This summer, I am not only a market researcher but a part-time bartender for private parties. Most recently, I was hired as an intern for a sports podcast radio show to handle the switch board, be a guest commentator, and I will be going down to the NFL draft in 2012 to handle interviews and market to make the show more popular. I am extremely ambitious and like to keep myself busy with challenges (obviously).
